House Rules

To make sure everyone has a safe and relaxed stay, we set up the following house rules:

  • Check in time is 14h00. Check out time is before midday. If you wish a different schedule please contact reception, and he/she will decide if this is possible according to the availability.
  • Breakfast is served between 7h30 and 10h00. Food taken from the buffet breakfast for later consumption will be charged as extra.
  • The use of restaurant utensils are subject to charge.
  • On Sundays our restaurant closes at 19h00.
  • For your own security and the safety of our guests we don’t allow any strangers, non-guests and people who didn’t pre-book a room into the hotel unless only visiting for the day. No exceptions; please do not insist.
  • Please do not throw toilet paper, napkins, sanitary bags or other materials in the toilet. Use the bin provided.
  • Since we are an active life style hotel, we would like you to respect all guests and be quiet after 22h00.
  • For your safety a night guard is present from 18h00 until 6h00. The entrance gates will be locked during these hours, but the guard will open the door for you.
  • Drugs are strictly prohibited and the Windtown managers have no choice but to report any use to the local authorities.
  • No smoking is allowed in the rooms and in all covered/ roofed areas. Please see reception for ashtrays and respect the fact that other guests do not smoke and may be sitting down wind of you.
  • Please leave your key at reception when you leave the room or hotel. For safety reasons please inform reception immediately should you lose your keys. Since we have to replace the lock, you will be charged R$150 for the loss of the room key. Loss of the safety deposit box key will cost R$250. Never force to open the safe; if you encounter difficulties, please contact our staff at reception.
  • Rooms need to be left behind the way it was found. You will be held accountable for damage to the room, the fittings and/or the general areas.
  • Consumption of food and beverage items that have not been purchased at the hotel is not allowed in common areas. BYO wine consumed in the restaurant will be charged a corkage fee.
  • Cooking of any kind anywhere in the hotel is forbidden, except for using our BBQ.
  • BBQ use:
    • We charge a cleaning fee
    • Chopping board, knife, plates and cutlery included in cleaning fee
    • Drinks must be purchased from the bar
    • Charcoal not provided
    • Maximum of 8 people (if larger group we can organize BBQ dinner/lunch, if given enough notice)
    • Everything must be cleaned by 21h and quiet by 22h00.
  • No running or playing in the restaurant area.
  • Please do not use the pool before 8am or after 9pm, as chemicals might be used in the water.
  • Please use the outside shower before you go into the swimming pool so no sand will block the filter. Do not use soap or shampoo in the outside shower.
  • Do not jump in the pool. The water level is less than a meter at some places.
  • We do not accept any responsibility for accidents of unsupervised children around the pool and deck area.
  • Don’t leave your water sports equipment or any other valuables outside. Kite storage is available free of charge. We do not accept responsibility for the loss of any kite equipment left unattended in the hotel or on the beach.
  • Please do not use general areas to dry your clothing. At the backside of the hotel there are lines to dry wet clothing.
  • Please help us being as energy efficient as possible. So please turn off all electrical equipment when you leave your room, especially air conditioning.
  • Pets are not allowed in the hotel.
  • Bean bags and hammocks are not allowed to be taken to the beach.
  • In case of a fire all guests need to leave their room immediately, without taking belongings. We will gather at the car park, where every guest’s name will be verified with the check-in forms.
  • Windtown and their officers, directors, elected officials, agents, employees, instructors, and owners of equipment and/or estate are released and discharged from any and all liability, claims, demands, or causes of action that any person using Windtown’s premises and/or services may hereafter have for injuries, disability, death, or damages, including, but not limited to, losses caused by the negligence of the released parties.
